Saturday Stitch : Heart To Heart Eyelet.


Every Saturday I will share with you a new stitch.
Today's stitch is: Heart to Heart Eyelet.




Still feeling the love after Valentines day here is the Heart to Heart  stitch which is a basic eyelet/lace  heart that can be used as a single motif as an all over pattern. Below you'll find instructions for both - the stitch and the single motif. 
Single heart motif: You need a number of stitches multiple of 11. Work rows 1 through 12.
Heart to Heart stitch: You need a number of stitches multiple of 11 + 2 edge stitches. Repeat the pattern between the * as many times as you like. Repeat rows 1 through 14.
Instructions :


Single Motif

Row 1: k4, k2tog, yo, k5
Row 2 & all wrong side rows: purl across
Row 3: k3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl1kw, k1, psso, k3
Row 5: k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl1kw, k1, psso, k2
Row 7: k1, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, sl1kw, k1, psso, k1
Row 9: k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl1kw, k1, psso
Row 11: k2, yo, sl1kw, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, yo, k3tog, yo, k2
Row 13: k2, (k2tog, double yo, sl1kw, k1, psso) x 5, k2

Heart To Heart

Row 1: edge st, * k4, k2tog, yo, k5, repeat from * to last st, edge st
Row 2 & all wrong side rows: purl across
Row 3: edge st, * k3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl1kw, k1, psso, k3, repeat from * to last st, edge st
Row 5: edge st, * k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl1kw, k1, psso, k2, repeat from * to last st, edge st
Row 7: edge st, * k1, k2tog, yo, k5, yo, sl1kw, k1, psso, k1, repeat from * to last st, edge st
Row 9: edge st, * k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl1kw, k1, psso, repeat from * to last st, edge st
Row 11: edge st, * k2, yo, sl1kw, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, yo, k3tog, yo, k2, repeat from * to last st, edge st

sl1kw - slip 1 knitwise.

Saturday Stitch : XOXO Cable


Every Saturday I will share with you a new stitch.
Today's stitch is: XOXO Cable


Give lots of hugs and kisses with the XOXO cable stitch at Valentines day or any time of the year. Great for hats, sacrves, sweater, throws, baby blankets etc. You need a stitch number multiple of 8 + 2 edge stitches. Repeat the pattern between the * as many times as you like.

Instructions :


Row 1: edge stitch, knit across to last st, edge stitch
Row 2 & all wrong side rows: edge stitch, purl across to last st, edge stitch
Row 3: edge stitch, *c4f, c4b, c4b, c4f, repeat from * to last stitch, edge stitch
Row 5: edge stitch, knit across to last st, edge stitch
Row 7: edge stitch, * c4b, c4f, c4f, c4b, repeat from * to last st, edge stitch
Repeat rows 1 through 8.
C4B (slip 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold in back of work; knit 2, knit 2 from the cable needle)
C4F (slide 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold in front of work; knit 2, knit 2 from the cable needle)



Difficulty level: Easy
