Saturday Stitch: Lace Triangle Stitch

Every Saturday I will share with you a new stitch.
Today's stitch is:  Lace Triangle Stitch.




 It's great for  sweaters, throws, blankets, shawls, scarves etc. worked in multiples of 11 stitches plus 5 stitches. 

Instructions :

Row 1: *k2, (k2tog, m1) 4 times, k1,* k5
Row 2 and all alternate rows: purl
Row 3: *k3, (k2tog, m1) 3 times, k2,* k 5
Row 5: *k4, (k2tog, m1) 2 times, k3,* k5
Row 7: *k5, (k2tog, m1) 1 times, k4,* k5
Row 9: k5, *k2, (k2tog, m1) 4 times, k1*
Row 11: k5, *k3, (k2tog, m1) 3 times, k2*
Row 13: k5, *k4, (k2tog, m1) 2 times, k3*
Row 15: k5, *k5, (k2tog, m1) 1 times, k4*
Row 16: purl
 Repeat rows 1-16
m1 = Make 1 stitch with a yarn over.
k2tog = Knit two stitches together.

Instructions:
Row 1 (right side): K4, *yf, sl 1, k1, psso, k7; rep from * to last 5 sts, yf, sl 1, k1, psso, k3.
Row 2 and every alt row: Purl.
Row 3: K5, *yf, sl 1, k1, psso, k7; rep from * to last 4 sts, yf, sl 1, k1, psso, k2.
Row 5: K6, *yf, sl 1, k1, psso, k7; rep from * to last 3 sts, yf, sl 1, k1, psso, k1.
Row 7: *K7, yf, sl 1, k1, psso; rep from * to end.

Instructions :

Row 1: k1, *yo, k3, sl1, k2tog, psso, k3, yo, k1*
Row 2 and all even rows: purl
Row 3: k1 *k1, yo, k2, sl1, k2tog, psso, k2, yo, k2
Row 5: k1 *k2, yo, k1, sl1, k2tog, psso, k1, yo, k3*
Row 7: k1 * k3, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso,, yo, k4*
Repeat rows 1- 8 to make up lace pattern.

yo = yarn over
sl = slip a stitch without working it from the left needle to the right one
psso = pass the slipped stitch over
k2tog = knit 2 stitches together

Instructions :

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 (RS) K3, [p1, k3] 5 times.
Row 2 and all WS rows [P3, k1] 5 times, p3.
Rows 13 and 29 [K3, p1] twice, 7-st RPC, [p1, k3] twice.
Rows 15, 19, 23 and 27 K3, [p1, k3] 5 times.
Rows 17 and 25 K3, p1, [7-st LPC, p1] twice, k3.
Row 21 7-st RPC, [p1, 7-st RPC] twice.
Row 30 [P3, k1] 5 times, p3.
Rep rows 1-30.


7-st RPC Sl 4 sts to cable needle and hold to back, k3, then p1, k3 from cable needle.

Instructions :

Row 1 (RS) K to last st, sl 1.
Row 2 P to last st, sl 1.
Row 3 K1, *RT, LT; rep from *, end sl 1.
Row 4 Rep row 2.
Rep rows 3 and 4.

RT (right twist) Skip 1 st and k the 2nd st, knit skipped st and sl both sts from needle tog.
LT (left twist) Skip 1 st passing behind this st, k the 2nd st tbl, knit the skipped st in front loop and sl both sts from needle tog.

Saturday Stitch: Scalloped Shell Stitch

Every Saturday I will share with you a new stitch.
Today's stitch is: Scalloped Shell Stitch




 It's great for  shawls, afghans, pillows or baby blankets etc. You need a stitch number multiples of 10 + 1 stitches. Repeat the pattern between the * as many times as you like.

Instructions :

Row 1 (RS) Knit.
Row 2 Purl.
Rows 3 and 4 Knit.
Row 5 *K1, [yo, k1] twice, [double yo] 5 times, [k1, yo] twice; rep from *, end k1.
Row 6 *K5, with yarn in front slip 5 purlwise (dropping extra yo), k4; rep from *, end k1.
Row 7 *K5, with yarn at back slip 5 purlwise, k4; rep from *, end k1.
Row 8 *P5, p5tog, p4; rep from *, end k1.
Rep rows 1-8.
Double yo Insert RH needle into next st wrapping yarn around needle twice, complete knit st.
