Every Saturday I will share with you a new stitch. Today's stitch is: Cabled Firefly Stitch.
It's great for scarves, sweaters, jackets, shawls, afghans, pillows or baby blankets etc. You need a stitch number multiple of 10 + 1 stitches. Repeat the pattern between the * as many times as you like.
Rows 1, 5, 7, 9, 13, 17, 19 and 21 (RS)*P1, k4; rep from *, end p1. Row 2 and all WS rows K1, *p4, k1; rep from * to end. Rows 3 and 23 *P1, 4-st RC, p1, k4; rep from *, end p1. Rows 11 and 15 *P1, k4, p1, 4-st RC; rep from *, end p1. Row 24 Rep row 2. Repeat rows 1–24.
Stitch Explanation: 4-st RC, Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold to back, k2, k2 from cable needle.
