Every Saturday I will share with you a new stitch.
Today's stitch is: Oat Stitch.
It's great for jackets, scarves, shawls, afghans, pillows or baby blankets etc. You need a stitch number multiple of 4 plus 2 . Repeat the pattern between the * as many times as you like.
Instructions :
Rows 1, 3 & 5 (WS): P2, *(k into back and front of st) twice, p2; rep from * to end.Row 2, 4 & 6: K2, *(p2tog) twice, k2; rep from * to end.
Row 7, 9 & 11: (K into back and front of st) twice, *p2, (k into back and front of st) twice; rep from * to end.
Row 8,10 & 12: (P2tog) twice, *k2, (p2tog) twice; rep from * to end.
Repeat rows 1-12.
